Quick lighting coal

Quick Light coal (also instant coal or self-igniting coal) is like natural coal made primarily of coconut shells or bamboo. This is because these materials are particularly tasteless and odorless.
Unlike natural coal,
quick lighting coal can be ignited with a commercial lighter. To do this, it only has to be placed on a coal tongs or in a coal dishes and set on fire. Usually, this process only takes about 20 seconds.
This is possible because the charcoal pieces are mixed with flammable black powder. For this reason, the coals are already flamed up quickly, but they can give off an aftertaste when smoking. To avoid this, the coal should always be fully burned through before use.
Quick lighting coals usually do not glow as hot as natural coals and have an approximate burn time of 45-60 minutes.

For spontaneous smoke sessions, for those who do not have a gas cooker or charcoal grill or little time available, these coals are very well suited.
However, if you want to take your time, or if you need more heat for example to operate a heat management system like "The Block" we recommend natural coal.
