Tip from the manufacturer: When you should use a sieve
It is usually not customary to use a sieve with a pinched bowl piece like this one. However, because the remains of your mixture fall into the water chamber of the bong when the bowl is emptied, cleaning the smoking device may become more difficult. This is why we recommend using an additional 15mm diameter insert or hanging sieve, especially when smoking bongs with a percolator system that is difficult to clean or those with fritted glass.
